Overview
A high-end Mosman renovation that transformed an already impressive residence into a seamless, performance-driven family home. We upgraded the electrical and smart systems to match the new design vision, focusing on rock-solid reliability, and standout features that elevate everyday living and entertaining without visual intrusion.
Repeat collaboration — this was our second major engagement at the property. We first delivered the full electrical and technology package under Susan Rothwell Architecture in 2010. Years later, new owners engaged Studio Gestalt for a sophisticated renovation, allowing us to return and layer in upgraded AV, automation, lighting, and infrastructure with even greater refinement.
Technical Scope
Network + automation
The Wi-Fi network was engineered as the foundational layer—delivering consistent, high-speed coverage across multiple levels and outdoor zones with zero dead spots. This robust backbone enabled the Savant system to perform flawlessly, providing seamless control of lighting scenes, AV zones, blinds, and security—all accessed intuitively via app or voice, while remaining completely invisible to the design aesthetic.
Standout feature – Custom home theatre rebuild
Working closely with Studio Gestalt and the joinery team, we completely reimagined the home theatre to maximise performance within a refined, architectural envelope.
Key theatre details:
- Acoustically transparent screen seamlessly integrated into bespoke joinery
- Three front speakers and dual subwoofers concealed behind the screen for deep, cinematic impact
- 4K laser projector recessed into joinery with a minimal cylinder opening for projection—visually near-invisible when not in use
- Clean wall lines maintained at all times, with powerful, immersive sound and picture delivered only when desired

- Supply and installation of new architectural light fixtures throughout interiors and exteriors
- Complete whole-home Wi-Fi network redesign as the critical backbone for all connectivity
